A report on the 2008 Brit Awards ceremony
The Brit Awards ceremony that was organized at the Earls Court venue in London on the 20th of February 2008 was a roaring success and all the top glamour and glitz personalities from Britain had attended this gala musical awards ceremony. The best part of the show was the Arctic Monkeys accepting their award for the best British album dressed in true British country style with decoy ducks, flasks of whisky and a horn. Amy Winehouse, the Grammy winner of 2008, sent a televised love message to her imprisoned husband and this was the most touching moment of the entire show. The star of the evening was none other than Paul McCartney, whose five song medley got a vociferous appreciation from the capacity audience.
The Award for the Best British Group went to Arctic Monkeys and the Award for the Best International Album and Group went to the Foo Fighters.
