Madonna, the multimillionaire singer and performer, who likes to do different things, is planning to do intimate performances this year. Though she has gained popularity through her extravagant concerts in big stadiums, she always dreamt of performing to the smaller groups. She said that she wanted to give performances in Opera Houses, but is afraid that she won’t be able to make big money out of it. The 49 year old star is attracted to the fact that doing performances at smaller venues will give a chance to get closer to the audiences and meet them personally.
She feels that her shows are really elaborate and it will be difficult to adjust it to the varying stage size. She thinks that it is impossible to do grand shows in intimate venues and is planning slimmed–down shows for the smaller venues. She loves the magic created by theater as the audiences are closer to the artist and their each and every reaction is easily received by the performer. She admits that intimate venues have their own advantages as well as disadvantages. Giving a live performance very close to the audience is difficult and challenging and the performer can change the performance according to the trend the audience needs.
Last Monday night witnessed pop diva and sultry actress Madonna getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by none other the hot and happening star in the music and movie industry, Justin Timberlake. The other personalities who were induced during the gala night were the Ventures, John Mellencamp, Dave Clark Five, Little Walter and the hit makers of the 70’s Huff and Gamble. There were no such controversies that took place during the induction like the one’s the organizers faced during inducting Van Halen last year, but one question that lingered in few people’s mind was whether a pop diva should be inducted into the Rock Hall of fame.
Justin Timberlake who is working with Madonna in her forthcoming album said that he was honored to be introducing and inducting her and lauded her efforts to be the number one artist for so many years. Madonna in her acceptance speech thanked all the people in her life for making her the Madonna, the world is craving for now. She also gave her critics a piece of their mind when she thanked all the people who said that she was a one album wonder, talentless artist, chubby singer, and so on and it is because of them that she has become what she is today
