Remo Promotes Global Warming with Free Concert

Posted on April 14th, 2008 by admin in Environmental news, Remo Fernandes

Pop crooner Remo Fernandes will perform for free this coming Sunday to create and raise awareness on global warming. He believes that this threat endangers the coastline including the world famous beaches in Calangute, Goa.

He reiterated his believes by proclaiming that “if we don’t do anything right now, in few years, the place where I am performing will be underwater”.

The organizer of this even is Greenpeace. They are dedicated to host a series of environmental awareness programs in Kochi, Kolkatta, Mumbai, Chennai and Goa. This one hour concert at the beaches of Calangute is part of their efforts to resuscitate the waning interests in environmental conservation.

For this event, Remo has specially composed a song which is an adaptation of his classic “Satisfaction” song. The song is touted to describe how Goa is being polluted repeatedly by garbage and plastic. The singer is best loved for his efforts in social campaigns such as anti-drugs programs.
