The Scottish musician Momus has been writing his music for many years. Whenever you think that the music world is getting too monolithic and uninteresting, you should probably check out Momus. His music deals with strange topics, at least compared to the regular fare of pop music. He uses sythesizer-based pop music and scathing lyrics to talk about artistic, social, and a variety of other topics. He never really became widely popular, but his music remains very popular amongst a certain group of people. He also blogs and writes articles, mainly for technical columns. He recently released an album called Joemus, which keeps with his typical style, and is a lot of fun to listen to. If you enjoy music with great lyrics and a certain vaudeville style to it, then you’ll really like Momus.
