Frederick Symphony Orchestra’s pops concert completely sold out.

Last year, the tickets for the Frederick Symphony Orchestra’s pops concert were completely sold out. Music Director Elisa Koehler hopes to sell out this year’s holiday pops concert as well. For the first time in the Orchestra’s history, the orchestra will hold two performances — one Friday night and one Saturday afternoon at Frederick Community College’s J.B. Kussmaul Theater. Don’t miss out your chance to enjoy it.

Dan Fogelberg is Gone

Dan Fogelberg, the leader of the band, and an Easy-rocking singer-songwriter, known for such ’70s and ’80s hits as “Leader of the Band” and “Same Old Lang Syne”, died Sunday at his home in Maine. Dan was diagnosed with an advanced form of prostate cancer in 2004, and the following 3 years were the years of constant battle with the disease. Even though the singer underwent hormonal therapy and achieved a partial remission, the disease was not cured completely, which eventually led to the rocker’s death at the age of 56. Our heartiest condolences to the relatives of the famous singer, and to all his fans, for the world lost a real talent on Sunday.

madonnaMadonna, who released her first heat 25 years ago, was tracked into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. To be tracked into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, an artist must have released their first music twenty-five years earlier to be considered for entry. Madonna produced her first song, “Everybody,” in 1982.

Famous musician, Kevin DuBrow, Dies of Cocaine Overdose

KevinOutstanding musician, front-man of the Quiet Riot, Kevin DuBrow, was found dead in his home in Las Vegas on November 25. As it was reporter later, accidental cocaine overdose became the cause of death. DuBrow died at the age of 52, and if not were for absent-mindedness, we could have enjoyed his works for a long time to come.

Kevin SpaceyThe famous Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey is to co-host the traditional Nobel concert that will take place in Oslo next week honoring the Nobel Peace Prize laureates. He is going to replace Tommy Lee Jones, who has pulled out. This year, the prestigious prize went to former United States vice president Al Gore and the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The concert will be held on December 11.

Kylie Is To Perform At Nobel Concert

Kylie Minogue will perform at the tribute concert that this year honours the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and environmental campaigner Al Gore. Former United States presidential candidate Al Gore and the IPCC were awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in spreading awareness of climate change. The show will be held on Dec. 11 at the Oslo Spektrum Arena. Other well-known artists are Alicia Keys, Annie Lennox, KT Tunstall, and Melissa Etheridge

A leading motion picture exhibitor that owns and operates the largest theatre circuit in the US, Regal Entertainment Group, today announced that Hannah Montana CONCERT IN 3D tickets will go on sale on December 1. All fans now have a great chance to see their favorite singer, songwriter, and actress perform her sold-out “Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour” on the big screen. The Disney Digital 3D presentation will be available at Regal Entertainment Group theatres for only 1 week from February 1 through February 7.

Concert Money for Pet Therapy

Pet Therapy’s charity concert event was held at Unity Church in Sarasota. The annual event featured Chalyce Sullivan, Summerhouse sensation, who charmed guests with compositions, like “Cabaret,” and “That’s Amore.” Executive director of the event, Kathy Alexander, introduced the group to the child volunteers and the adorable bichons frises. John and Lorraine Wells made a commitment of one thousand dollars to the cause, earning them applause from the crowd.
